Holiday Detox.

It’ not something most of us think about leading up to the holidays. Now, post-detox is another story! Many people yearn for a detox when January 1st rolls around but we had a thought…what if we were conscious enough to take care of ourselves throughout the holiday season so that when January 1st appears, we’re not fatigued, brain-fogged and bloated.

Let’s think about this for a minute, shall we? You know we’re all about addressing the energetic, emotional and physical levels of the body when it comes to our health but what we often forget is addressing these levels in our everyday life. We’re often too stressed out to enjoy the little things and too consumed by social media to sit back and relax and check in with ourselves and our energy.


Energy.

It’s something we all feel but we can’t see. I assure you, if you start checking in with your energy throughout the day to see how you feel and what triggers you or what causes you to get jealous or to shut down, you’ll start to notice the energetic shifts in your body. This is all a part of awareness, which I talk about in Part 3 of Why Staying Safe Makes You Feel Stuck. I talk a lot about energy because it’s such a huge part of getting healthy that mainstream medicine sadly doesn’t address. In The Valpone Method™ that I use with my private clients and on my retreats, the energetic level of the body must be addressed for full healing to take place!

I’ve been thinking a lot about gratitude lately. Mostly because I’m feeling better than I’ve ever felt with my health–YES, better than ever throughout the last 12 years. And if feels glorious. Whew, what a decade of ups and downs and in lots of in-between moments not knowing what’s next. It’s been such a beautiful surprise to end up in a place of perfect health and to be able to help all of you achieve the health that you desire for yourselves.

So, because it’s the time of year when everyone is focused on giving thanks, I’d love to hear from you about what you are thankful for. This community has made me so happy and I am beyond grateful to have all of you here with us following along with my healing journey. I know so many of you haven’t reached the place you wish to be with your health yet but your day is coming. It takes a lot of time, patience, determination and most of all dedication to heal yourself.

You all have it in you.

You know you have the power. You know this. You simply just forgot because LIFE got in the way and you started to believe what others thought about you more than what you thought/think about you. Take some time to start to think about what no longer serves you, what friends no longer feed your soul, what people you no longer need in your life because they can’t be happy for you, what situations you can start to say NO to, what time you can carve out for yourself- YES just for YOU to get some peace of mind and quiet because in this fast-paced technology-filled world, we need to relax our nervous system more than ever.

As we start to enter the holiday season, we want to fill you up with gratitude, a few of our top tools to navigate stress and of course delicious holiday recipes to help alleviate any holiday stress you have piling on top of you right now. We’ve got all of that and more coming for you this month so stay tuned for more holiday goodies. For now, give yourself a little gratitude gift and think about all the things you can let go of this time of year to get back in touch with YOU!

Soul.

I didn’t really understand what ‘soul’ was until I hit rock bottom with my health. I don’t think I actually gave it any thought before that. Have you?

As many of you can relate…when you hit rock bottom from anything in your life whether it’s a breakup or a chronic health issue or losing someone you love or any situation you experience that makes you question your life and your existence and what you’re doing here on this wild large ball in the middle of a solar system, you start to tap into something deeper…your soul.

All I can say is that since my lowest rock bottom with my health a few years ago, I had no way of climbing back up without addressing what my soul was calling me to do and heal myself on a much deeper level than kale and supplements. If you’ve hit your own rock bottom, you get it. I hope the above audio AND this month’s playlist help you tap a little bit deeper into your soul to truly experience the depth and beauty of life.

Self-care.

We think it’s all about bubble baths but it’s not. It’s so much deeper. It’s a huge part of the healing process, which I, of course, did not understand or know until my 30’s. Since healing my body I’ve discovered deeper layers of health and well-being that allowed me to move out of survival mode and into pleasure and enjoyment.

Those levels are the emotional and energetic levels of the body. Kale and supplements can surely help you get to a certain point but they will not, I repeat, will not heal your body. There is deeper work to be done, which is exactly what I’m discussing in today’s audio clip and in our upcoming retreat, The Full Body Transformation in North Carolina next month.

We all do it.

But how are you breathing?

I lived 20-something years in the latter state of go-go-go breathing from my chest. It wasn’t until my late 20’s that I learned how to slow down and breathe the right way and trust life.

And that’s exactly what this playlist is going to help you do.

Get cozy.

Lay in your bed.

Lay in the grass.

Soak it up.

Feel it.

Put your hand on your belly and slowly teach your brain how to allow your belly to do the breathing for you instead of your chest.
